The Money Quilt -Cash's Baby Quilt

I made this one for baby Cash Thesing, Abbie and Hanna's baby brother. I found this fabric with money and thought it would be quite cute for a baby blanket for a boy with the name Cash. the backing on this is flannel, and I also embroidered his name, weight and date of birth on one of the squares. I also embroider a bible verse on them with the same color thread as the block that it on. It's kind of a secret message...you don't really see it unless you're looking for it.

Abbie and Hanna's Quilts

I made theses quilts for Abbie and Hanna for Christmas of "07" I think
This kind of quilt is one of my favorites to make with all the random bright colors...The backs of theses quilts were done using a fuzzy material one was blue and the other purple. They were so soft and cuddly.

I have decided there will be no rhyme or reason as to the order theses quilts are going to be posted. I have thought about it long and hard and couldn't really decide weather I should start from the beginning or from the most recent back. Then I decided there were just to many to keep them in the right order, so...guess what ? There will be no rhyme or reason...as I said earlier...

My Bed

I made this quilt for my bed in Burien...I acquired the fabric in Paulsbo one day while out shopping with Dodie aka Gerry Erickson. We stopped into this quilt shop and there it was...a sale table...all you could put into a sandwich bag for 5 bucks...Boy did I cram, I rolled every piece of fabric, kind of like I roll my cloths to fit in my suitcase when I'm on reserve. I got all the pieces that I really wanted in, and I still had a little room left, so the flowered triangle pieces (yes they were already cut) fit in...So I went home and played with those triangle pieces to see what I could create...I put together some embroidery patterns, thanks to my friend Sally at the Burien AAA Sewing and Vac. and made the flowers to match the material. I origanaly was going to make a throw quilt for my couch...But I liked it so much that I wanted to put it on my bed, so the rest of the fabric I purchased at Joann's, but then of coarse no bed is complete without pillow shams and throw pillows. All in all I absolutely loved it when I was finished...
